Can you replace my old, noisy extractor fan?

Yes. We can assess your existing extractor fan and replace it with a suitable modern unit. If the fan is noisy or performing poorly, we'll also check the existing ducting and installation to make sure there isn't another issue affecting its performance.

Should the fan duct outside or into the roof cavity?

An extractor fan should always be ducted to the outside. Venting into the roof cavity simply moves the moisture from your bathroom into the ceiling space, where it can contribute to condensation, mould and damage over time. Proper external ducting removes the moisture from your home completely.

Can you install a humidity-sensing or timer fan?

Yes. Some extractor fans come with built-in humidity sensors or timers, and we can also retrofit fan timers to many existing installations to improve how long the fan runs after use.

Why is my bathroom still getting condensation with the fan running?

There can be several reasons, including an undersized fan, restricted or poorly installed ducting, incorrect fan positioning or insufficient run time. We can assess the existing system, identify what's limiting its performance and recommend the best solution.

Can you repair an extractor fan that has stopped working?

Yes. We repair and fault-find existing bathroom and laundry extractor fans. Depending on the problem, we can repair the electrical supply or controls, or recommend replacement if the fan itself has failed or is no longer economical to repair.
