Takapuna is two jobs in one suburb. There are established residential streets and premium renovated homes on one side, and apartments, offices, hospitality and retail on the other, often within a block of each other. The electrical work follows that split: careful, finished residential work where the detail is the point, and commercial work where the constraint is trading hours and shared services.

What can be done inside a unit or a tenancy is usually straightforward, but anything touching common property, a landlord's services or a shared distribution board needs the right permission before a tool comes out. Sorting that out first is not bureaucracy, it is what stops a job stopping halfway. For larger home projects the same logic applies earlier: plan the electrical layout and the feature lighting before installation begins, not during.
