Electrical Plus is a residential electrical company based in Browns Bay on Auckland's North Shore, led by Registered Electrician Andrew Baker. We carry out repairs, fault finding, switchboard upgrades, lighting, EV charging, extractor fans, spa and pool connections, and the full electrical fit-out for renovations and new builds, for homeowners from Devonport to Warkworth and Mangawhai.
Most homes do not need an electrician until something stops working, a renovation starts, or a new appliance needs a circuit of its own. All three are the same job at heart: understanding what is already in the walls, working out what the house can safely carry, and doing the work in a way that still makes sense in ten years' time.
Three decades in the trade means we have seen a lot, from older Auckland homes and difficult faults through to major renovations and new builds. That experience helps us look beyond the immediate job. We think about how an installation will work, how it will look when it is finished, and what might be needed in the future. Sometimes that means suggesting a better way of doing something. Sometimes it means telling you that you do not need to spend money where you thought you did.

What working with a residential electrician should feel like
Good electrical work is not only about what happens behind the wall. It is protecting your property while we work, labelling a switchboard properly, leaving the site clean, providing the right certification and documentation, keeping you informed, and being there when you need us again.
We confirm the minimum call-out fee before any work begins. It covers travel, your electrical compliance certificate, health and safety requirements and the first hour of labour, so there is no guessing at what the first hour will cost. Where certification is required we provide it, including Certificates of Compliance and Electrical Safety Certificates, so you have the correct documentation on file for insurance, a property sale or future reference.
If you have a list of small jobs rather than one big one, send the whole list. Power points, faulty lights, extractor fans, outdoor lighting and switches can usually be taken care of in the same visit, and we can often help with smaller property maintenance jobs while we are there.

We are based in the East Coast Bays and regularly work throughout Auckland, from Greenlane to Mangawhai. We frequently complete residential work in Browns Bay, Mairangi Bay, Rothesay Bay, Campbells Bay, Castor Bay, Long Bay, Albany, Takapuna, Milford, Devonport, Coatesville, Riverhead, Silverdale, Orewa, Warkworth, Mangawhai, as well as everywhere in between.

Products, fittings and materials we supply are covered separately by the applicable manufacturer's warranty.
Our warranty applies to workmanship carried out by Electrical Plus and does not cover product failure, normal wear and tear, damage, alterations by others or faults unrelated to our original work.
